The Trinity River Restoration Program (TRRP) is recruiting for a permanent Hydrologist (GS-9/11/12) with the Bureau of Reclamation in Weaverville, California.
This position serves as the lead physical scientist for hydrology and geomorphology on the TRRP Science Branch team. The position works at the interface of applied science, river management, and restoration-- including developing and evaluating flow-release hydrographs and assessing geomorphic, hydrologic, and thermal responses of the Trinity River.The scientist will also provide technical and design input for river restoration activities including channel and floodplain rehabilitation, gravel augmentation, bank work, riparian restoration, sediment management, and watershed improvements. The position involves a combination of field investigations, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and analysis, data analysis, technical reporting, and collaboration with engineers, biologists, geomorphologists, and other scientists (within and outside of the USBR).Position details:
