CUAHSI Water Science Exchange: Water in Working Landscapes

Join us at the University of Missouri for the first-ever CUAHSI Water Science Exchange! This two-and-a-half day gathering will bring together water science researchers for skill-building workshops, field trips, and science poster and presentation opportunities.
The Water Science Exchange is designed to build skills, facilitate knowledge exchange, and spark new collaborations across career stages and institutions. We're especially excited to welcome students and early-career researchers and encourage poster submissions from undergraduate and graduate students.
The Exchange will feature workshops and presentations led by CUAHSI staff, water science community members, and partner organizations, including:
A poster session open to all attendees, with graduate and undergraduate students especially encouraged to participate.
Hands-on skill-building workshops leveraging multi-agency water data from NOAA, USGS, and NASA, plus cloud computing and open data publishing on HydroShare.
Advanced and specialized methods in field work, computing, and analysis, for those looking to go deeper.
Regional expertise from local researchers and practitioners working on Midwest water challenges, including time at nearby field sites.
Instructor-focused sessions and breakout groups on getting more from CUAHSI Virtual University and HydroLearn in your own courses.
A welcoming setting to grow your network across career stages, including students, faculty, agency scientists, and practitioners.
We will offer a limited number of travel stipends to defray some costs of attending. More information on this support will be shared in future communications.

The workshops can be 2-6 hours, geared towards graduate students and early career researchers, and will be hosted throughout The Water Science Exchange.
Topics can include:
Foundational, innovative, or specialized methods in water science
Stakeholder involvement in water research
The Water in Working Landscapes theme
