We're excited to host our next Virtual Open House on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 12- 2 pm ET. Join us to connect with CUAHSI staff, hear updates on upcoming plans, and learn where there's room to get more involved or share your perspectives.
What to expect:
- Staff-led updates and demos, with opportunities for discussion and Q&A.
- Flexible format - drop in or move between sessions as your schedule allows.
- To close the Open House, we’ll move into group breakout rooms for additional discussion, with topics informed by attendee interests

The Virtual Open House is one way we’re creating a dedicated space for conversation, helping us make sure CUAHSI continues to meet the community's evolving needs. We’'ll share plans that are in motion, as well as topics that are still taking shape with room for community input to help guide direction.

Featured Highlights
CUAHSI staff will share lightning talk-style updates to highlight several current efforts and opportunities. Each topic will include an 8–10 min presentation followed by about 5 minutes of Q&A per session.
12:10 pm — CUAHSI HydroShare Development Highlights
Demo of HydroShare's new Discovery Interface and a preview of the redesigned Resource Landing Page, plus a short overview of planned efforts for the remainder of the year.
12:25 pm — Research Team Highlights: Overview of the CIROH Community Hydrofabric Project
Overview of the Hydrofabric project, which develops a national dataset representing water flow paths and infrastructure across the U.S., and efforts to support community-driven workflows for tracking and improving it over time.
12:40 pm — Training Opportunities: Data Skill-Building for Water Researchers Recap of the Data Publishing Cohort and a preview of an upcoming "Federal Open Water Data for Researchers" training series.
12:55 pm — Virtual Open Learning: Water Content Portal
Demo of the open-access Water Content Portal, next steps, and how community members can contribute content.
1:10 pm — Engagement Opportunities
Overview of plans for new regional Science Catalyst Workshops and opportunities for CUAHSI engagement at your institution through seminars, hands-on workshops, and in-person or virtual consultations.

To close the Open House, we'll move into group breakout rooms for additional discussion and Q&A. At the start of this session, attendees will be polled on the topics they're most interested in discussing, and we will organize breakout rooms around the topics with the most interest.
