My research group is looking for a postdoc interested in disturbance hydrology. The position will focus on synthesis and modeling impacts of climate and other disturbances on watershed processes with a focus on developing nature-based climate solutions.

The Forest Ecohydrology & Watershed Systems (FEWS) Lab at University of California Merced is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in disturbance hydrology. The position will focus on synthesis and applying integrated hydrologic modeling to analyze the impact of climate and other disturbances on watershed processes in forested areas with a focus on developing nature-based climate solutions. A successful candidate will carry out a regional synthesis to document impacts on water and ecosystem, design land management scenarios and evaluate their impacts/tradeoffs using measurement and numerical modeling, and summarize findings in the form of scientific reports and peer-reviewed publications. The position will be based at UC Merced but some travel and fieldwork in remote locations may be necessary.
