The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at The University of Texas Arlington invites applications for a full-time Post Doctoral Research Associate position in Tracer Hydrology and/or Environmental Geochemistry.

The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Geochemistry, or a related field, with a strong track record of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and participation in proposal writing. Her/his technical proficiency should encompass isotope geochemistry, hydrogeology, and numerical modeling. A deep understanding of serpentinization processes, including water-rock interactions, hydrogen and methane production, and mineral phase transformations, is an asset. The candidate should be adept at scientific programming languages such as Python or R (preferentially), with demonstrated experience in handling complex geochemical databases, data visualization, and statistical analysis. Her/His research background should include field experience in groundwater/surface water sampling and laboratory expertise in isotope and geochemical analyses, complemented by proficiency in groundwater age modeling. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate strong collaborative abilities, including excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in interdisciplinary team environments, and the capability to mentor students while contributing to grant proposals and research funding initiatives.
