We invite you to apply as a Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Brigham Young University Hydroinformatics Lab housed in the Civil and Construction Engineering Department. Come help us advance the GEOGLOWS River Forecast System (RFS) and other global water data services. We have spent over a decade partnering with the European Center for Medium-range Forecasts (ECWMF), NASA, NOAA, Esri, AWS, and others to turn global Earth observation data into life-saving local water decisions. Backed by a new Google.org grant, you'll work at the frontier of cloud-based hydrologic modeling, open-data infrastructure, and forecasting systems that serve some of the world's most vulnerable communities. This is a rare opportunity to do technically deep work while seeing it translated into operational impact across flood early warning and water security. If you have a PhD in hydrology, water resources, computer science, or a related field, strong programming/data science skills, and a desire to do applied research that makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
