CUAHSI seeks an Events and Training Support Fellow to provide operational, logistical, and programmatic support for CUAHSI’s training, events, and community engagement activities.

Position Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary Range: $45,000–$55,000 annually, depending on experience

Position Summary: The Events and Training Support Fellow provides full-time operational, logistical, and programmatic support for CUAHSI’s training, events, and community engagement activities. This role works closely with the Training Coordinator and Communications staff to support in-person and virtual events, manage program tools and platforms, assist with community outreach and reporting workflows, and help increase the reach, consistency, and effectiveness of CUAHSI’s training programs.

The Fellow will gain sustained, hands-on experience in program coordination, event logistics, and community-facing science support within a national research consortium, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Logistics

  • Identify and help evaluate venues and vendors for in-person events.
  • Coordinate with vendors to secure event services such as catering, space rental, and supplies.
  • Support planning and execution of in-person, hybrid, and virtual training events and workshops.
  • Assist with management of event-related platforms and accounts (e.g., Canvas, CVENT, Jotform, Zoom).
  • Track and manage small event budgets and expenses.
  • Attend events as needed to support on-site logistics.

Community Management & Outreach

  • Populate and maintain program participation data in CUAHSI’s CRM.
  • Execute workflows for relationship management and reporting.
  • Support outreach and marketing materials in collaboration with Communications staff.

Program & Training Support

  • Manage and maintain the CUAHSI YouTube channel.
  • Support webinar logistics and serve as a backup host when needed.
  • Upload recordings, manage metrics, and support post-event reporting.
  • Document workflows and processes in internal systems.
  • Support application, registration, and communication for programs.
  • Assist with Summer Institute planning and alumni engagement.
  • Support implementation of new training tools and programs.

Marketing & Communications Support

  • Develop outreach materials alongside Communications staff.
  • Support consistent branding and promotion opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Interest in event coordination, training programs, or science communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks in a remote environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Comfort learning new platforms and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
