CUAHSI is part of an international team led by Dr. Thomas Hertel (Purdue University) working to integrate across scientific teams and research communities in a network of networks called GLASSNET (Global to Local Analysis of System Sustainability) and funded through the NSF AccelNet program. The team consists of three U.S. networks (CUAHSI, GTAP, and NatCap) who will work with five international networks to build a bridge for intellectual and leveraged resources. Testbed engagements with research institutes in China, Brazil, and the Mediterranean are planned. Of particular value to this project are CUAHSI's collaborative modeling capabilities and innovative educational activities. CUAHSI's role for this project is primarily advisory.
