The National Association of Geoscience Teachers is an organization that works to support a diverse, inclusive, and thriving community of educators and education researchers to improve teaching and learning about the Earth through programming, professional development, publications, scholarships and awards, and advocacy. This webinar will provide an overview of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) to the CUAHSI community. Participants will get a brief introduction to NAGT and NAGT's Teach the Earth portal, which allows users to search and browse thousands of activities, as well as water-related modules developed through InTeGrate, a project focused on integrating teaching about Earth across the undergraduate curriculum for a sustainable society. Additionally, an NAGT member will discuss Project EDDIE, an NSF supported NAGT-sponsored program that is developing flexible classroom teaching modules using large, publicly available datasets to engage students in STEM and improve their quantitative reasoning.

Hydrology webinar survey participants needed!

NAGT and CUAHSI are teaming up to host a hydrology webinar series that is designed to:

  • Bridge the two organizations and faculty from different disciplines;
  • Increase awareness of both organizations' resources;
  • Develop inclusive teaching materials for hydro-courses.

This series also aims to better understand the needs of the members of both organizations to help inform future work, therefore your participation in a survey is requested. Take the survey by clicking here
