Post-doctoral research position on Urban Flood Forecasting at NC State University
We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to conduct innovative research on urban flood forecasting and disaster recovery modeling as part of the C-ACCEL project funded by NSF. Applicants with experience in modeling critical infrastructure failure and recovery are also strongly encouraged to apply. Ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering or in a related field with a strong background in hydrological forecasting, systems modeling and applied statistics. Interested candidates should submit their application (see below) with the following information: (1) curriculum vita, (2) a letter describing research interests and experience, (3) recent publications (not more than three) and (4) names and contact information for three references. For full consideration, please apply before May 31, 2020.
The project is a collaborative multi-institutional effort between University of Cincinnati, NC State University, Purdue University, Utah State University and CUAHSI. The position is for one year with the possibility to be renewed to two or more years. The office of post-doctoral affairs at NC State offers excellent resources and mentoring opportunities for current post-docs to develop strong academic training. Applicants who meet the criteria should send the following materials in a single pdf file by email to Sankar Arumugam (firstname.lastname@example.org) with “Post-doc on C-ACCEL – Urban Flooding” in the subject line.
