Post-doctoral research position on Urban Flood Forecasting at NC State University

We seek a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to conduct innovative research on urban flood forecasting and disaster recovery modeling as part of the C-ACCEL project funded by NSF. The interest is to develop multi-time scales (daily, weekly, subseasonal and seasonal) urban flood forecasts using products such as Multi-radar/Multi-Sensor System. Applicants with experience in modeling critical infrastructure failure and recovery are also strongly  encouraged to apply. Ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering or in a related field with a strong background in hydrological forecasting, systems modeling and applied statistics. The project is a collaborative multi-institutional effort between University of Cincinnati, NC State University, Purdue University, Utah State University and CUAHSI. The position is for one year with the possibility to be renewed to two or more years.
