Graduate Programs at the State University of New York (SUNY)
College of Environmental Science and Forestry
The Water Programs at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF, Syracuse, NY) offer a wide variety of approaches that focus on the scientific, engineering and social aspects of water resources. Scientific aspects include the investigations of basic physical, chemical and biological interactions occurring in both natural and anthropogenic water systems. Engineering studies focus on the analysis and design of water supply and waste water systems. Social aspects include the planning, regulation, law and the management of water and wetland resources. A major strength of our programs is the diversity of cooperators including the US Fish & Wildlife Service, US Environmental Protection Agency, US Geological Survey and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation. Our programs are interdisciplinary among the various SUNY-ESF Departments [www.esf.edu/wateratesf/Default.htm] and also Syracuse University [www.syr.edu].
