Standing Committees are an integral part of community engagement and shaping CUAHSI's mission.
Standing Committees are composed of members from the broad community of hydrologic sciences and are established to provide advice, and direction on CUAHSI programs and initiatives. Committee members are drawn from both member and non-member research and educational insititutions. We encourage those with an interest in these areas to consider self-nomination for a position on a Standing Committee.
Nominations for Standing Committee members are at any time. New committee members can be self-nominated, nominated by CUAHSI staff, nominated by an existing Standing Committee member, or nominated by a CUAHSI Board Member. To nominate a community member to serve on a CUAHSI Standing Committee, send an email to Jon Pollak (firstname.lastname@example.org) explaining the how the nominee would support the mission of the applicable Standing Committee. Nominees with a strong commitment to broadening participation in CUAHSI to groups under-represented in our community are encouraged. Nominees are reviewed and evaluated by the applicable committee’s Board Liaisons and Committee Chair by January 31 following the nominations. Nominees are approved to join Standing Committees based on committee needs and the the nominee’s qualifications and experience.
