Background

Informatics services have been identified as one of the four service areas for CUAHSI to pursue since its inception. Pilot projects and development projects in hydrologic information systems have been funded since 2002 that have refined the concept of what a hydrologic information sys-tem is and CUAHSI's role in providing that service to the community. The Informatics Standing Committee represents the community's interest in the activities of the CUAHSI's Informatics program.

Charge

The Informatics Standing Committee recommends to the CUAHSI Board on informatics poli-cies, activities, and objectives, and assesses the activities of the Informatics Program in the con-text of those policies and objectives. The committee's foremost responsibility is to ensure that that the various activities of the Informatics Program are responsive to the needs of the university research community.
