Cyberseminar Login InstructionsA cyberseminar consists of two parts: a video display of a PowerPoint presentation obtained using a Web browser and an audio portion using a telephone conference call. The only equipment required is a computer with an Internet connection (preferably faster than a dial-up modem, but this, too, will work with some delays) and a telephone. This approach does not require any special equipment or communications infrastructure and is more reliable than using the Internet for both audio and video. Because CUAHSI is paying on a per connection basis, the use of projectors and speaker phones to include as many participants from your campus as possible on a single connection is encouraged. Conference CallThe following information is for U.S. participants. For foreign participants, please contact commgr@cuahsi.org for dial-in instructions. Call-in numbers:(888) 339-2688 (toll-free) for U.S. and Canada When prompted, enter the meeting code 97519544. InternetWe are using WebEx for the video portion of the meeting. WebEx not only broadcasts a PowerPoint presentation, but also allows for chat, polling, and other interactive services. Webex requires the installation of a plug-in for your browser. Prior to the meeting, go to http://btconferencing.webex.com and click the "New User?" link in the upper left of the screen. Follow the instructions. The download and installation should only take a few seconds, but you might have problems if you don't have administrator privileges over your machine. In that case, someone who does (such as your IT person) may have to do this for you. Go to http://btconferencing.webex.com. The meeting number is provided in an email message to you and is used to access the web-portion of these meetings. There is no password for these meetings, but you will be required to sign in. |
