Chicago Regional Meeting - October 12, 2007

Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum to exchange information between CUAHSI leaders and its members. The meeting will:

  • Allow CUAHSI leaders to explain its activities, accomplishments, visions, and opportunities. What is CUAHSI doing?
  • Provide a forum for CUAHSI members to provide input to CUASHI leaders. What should CUAHSI be doing and what can CUAHSI do for us?
  • Provide a forum for regional water scientists to present their potential contributions to community data collection initiatives. What other related water resources/hydrologic science activities are we doing?
  • Facilitate strategic planning discussions for related water resources/hydrologic science collaborative initiatives in the Midwest. How can we align regional and national initiatives?

Hotel Reservation Advisory

You are responsible for securing your own hotel accommodations. You can call 1-800-EMBASSY to make your reservations for the North SHore/Deerfield Embassy Suites Hotel. When doing so, please request the group rate for CUAHSI. All reduced-rate reservations must be called in by September 13, 2007. Reservations secured after that date will be at the hotel's prevailing rate.

Reservations may also be made via the Embassy Suites Web site. Attendees must include the Group/Convention code of CUA in the appropriate box under Special Accounts to receive the group rate of $134.00 for a Standard Kings - Single Occupancy. Again, reservations must be made by September 13, 2007.
