Search wizard allows data discovery over multiple and heterogeneous data sources. It relies on several web technologies such as Web Services, AJAX and OWL. CUAHSI Controlled Vocabulary and several other service ontologies comprise an important part of the search wizard. Click here to see a demo which allows you to query NWIS and EPA STORET concurrently by typing in a keyword as if using a search engine. In this demo, stations are limited to Neuse River Basin area while parameters are limited to Nitrogen forms for the sake of simplicity. Results are classified and displayed using a Javascript tree for navigation ease. Below is a screenshot of the search wizard's results screen.
