CUAHSI Resources for Educators
The next generation of water scientists must be well-trained in order to confront the complexities of future water issues. Our members are directly involved with graduate and undergraduate education and can also contribute content for K-12 education. In addition, given the societal importance of water, key results from the academic water science community must be conveyed to the general public and policy makers at all levels of government.

Let's Talk About Water Using Film for Earth Science Education Researchers involved with CUAHSI have developed a formula for using documentaries and popular films to promote water and earth science education. "Let's Talk about Water" is a film symposium designed to bring together experts and the public to talk about the complex water issues facing society. - Cyberseminars A cyberseminar is a PowerPoint presentation shown over the web in conjunction with a conference call for narration by the webinar host. Presented to you as recorded WebEx sessions or recorded Adobe Connect sessions.
MOCHA MOdular Curriculum for Hydrologic Advancement (MOCHA) The Modular Curriculum for Hydrologic Advancement (MOCHA) is establishing an online faculty learning community for hydrology education and a modular hydrology curriculum based on modern pedagogical standards. The overall objective of this module development is to create a continuously evolving core curriculum that overcomes traditional disciplinary biases and is freely available to, developed, and reviewed by the worldwide hydrologic community. Earth Science Literacy Initiative (ESLI) The Earth Science Literacy Initiative (ESLI), funded by the National Science Foundation, has gathered and codified the underlying understandings of Earth sciences into a succinct document that will have broad-reaching applications in both public and private arenas. It establishes the "Big Ideas" and supporting concepts that all Americans should know about Earth sciences.
